2015
✨ Birth of the Project
Start in Madagascar with the first sacrifices performed by a dozen brothers from the Paris region, with the help of a first partner shepherd, an imam, and to the great delight of dozens of local Muslims who get to eat meat once a year in a small town in Africa.
2017
🐑 Expansion
Sheep and Share launches Aqiqah and video feedback via WhatsApp. The project consolidates with 5 villages joining the cooperative, placing farmers at the heart of the initiative. Dozens of families make a living from this activity, and hundreds benefit from the sheep meat.
2019
🤝 Responsibilities
Acquisition of the first solidarity farm with a clear objective: to combat poverty by creating employment. This entails significant challenges and responsibilities. The goal is to recruit people in severe poverty, train them, and create a virtuous cycle. This farm will regularly be a place where widows, orphans, and street children come to collect meat every week.
2022
🌎 International
The project establishes itself in Kenya and expands to a total of 29 farming and distribution sites. Two new initiatives are launched: the raising of laying hens and the planting of fruit trees.
